Stable Hand, Lara VIC

Tasmanian Horse Transport is a family owned and run small business with a close-knit team. We pride ourselves on the customer service we provide and our modern well maintained fleet of trucks. Our business transports horses and other animals all over Australia.

We have a Victorian depot in Lara, Victoria. This is the first stop for our trucks to unload from the ship, and where we reload on our return journey, as well as horses coming in off interstate trucks and spelling horses here as required.

We currently have a position available at this property for a Stable Hand. This is a part time role, the successful candidate will need to be flexible due to the ever changing nature of our business. Hours will be spread over each week day with limited weekend work when required, averaging between 20-30 hours per week.

General Duties include;

• Yards/stable cleaning

• Horse care

• Washing/cleaning trucks

• Lawn mowing and garden maintenance

• General yard/shed cleaning, tidying and maintenance

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, physically fit and able to work independently. Must have horse handling experience, be well presented, reliable, a good communicator, follow instructions, and have a high level of attention to detail.
